STUDIO ART SPACE

In the
STUDIO ART SPACE
there is:
CREATIVITY in the expression
HEALING in the process
BEAUTY in the product
PRIDE in the culture
STUDIO ART SPACE was created by Angela Ford-Heath, artist and visual art educator. Angela has over 25 years of art teaching experience to students of all ages and backgrounds in both public and private spheres. She holds a B.FA from Columbia College, Chicago, IL and an M.Ed from the Erikson Institute, Chicago, IL.
While at Erikson, Angela was introduced to and inspired by the work of art educators in the Reggio Emilia municipality of Italy. After spending a summer semester in Italy, Angela's focus turned to connecting visual art to core subject areas. She has spent the past fifteen years creating visual art curriculum that integrates art appreciation and projects that align with particular units of study. She has collaborated with both schools and community organizations to create spaces for students to explore, create and value visual art.
Angela is a member of the National Art Education Association (NAEA). She recently had her first solo show at the Radcliffe Hunter House Gallery in Bronzeville, Chicago.
